I've generally found anything around about 15th+ level adventure-wise needs to be custom-written for the game you're running because the stakes tend to be so high at that point and you can't depend on the characters following some "average" power point designers would try to write for. Also...

You could try to rejigger this as a puzzle. Design the combat first, rolls, damage and spells and write down the round-by-round events. Cut the events into sections and give that to the players, like a jigsaw puzzle that they have to piece together to figure out what happened, putting events...

This feels like "Tell me about the Star Wars Universe without mentioning George Lucas or the movies/TV show". A lot of the interesting bits seems like it would be interacting with those components familiar from the tales they were used in.

What about friendly fire? Any reason you wouldn't want a player to drop a fireball on all allies to "heal" them, or exclusively attack each other to get their side's hit points up and not the enemies?

Yeah, Mearls is just wrong. But I tend to play enchanters anyways, so I just hate how 5E has mauled hold person, charm person and the like anyways.

I use older edition rules - to use a scroll, the spell has to be on your spell list. Only exception are protection scrolls, which can be used by anyone.

I like to believe it will be the Pentium 2 edition. Or, as it may be called 5Ex2.
