Kobold Press: An Interview with Wolfgang Baur

I've been a supporter of Wolfgang and the group of talented designers with him since the days of Open Press modules. (I think that was the name...?) And his excitement about RPG's gets ME excited about the future of RPG's. While I'm not a huge fan of 5E, I am a fan of the Kobold crew and will be...

Tomb of Gyzaengaxx from Luke Gygax

100% agree. 55 bucks just for the digital rpg. Comical and a bit insulting. Hard pass from me.

    D&D 1E Edition Experience: Did/Do you Play 1E AD&D? How Was/Is It?

Well, I disagree with "the man" because I'm home right now. Not only do I play in a 1e game, I also run a 1e game online. My original campaign lasted for 10 years, and after a couple of years, I returned to it and found my players still interested. It is revived and going well. I also run...

    D&D General #Dungeon23

Congrats to everyone who finished out the year with Dungeon 2023! I only made it to early March before fizzling out. I may revisit one day...probably not...okay maybe. :)

D&D (2024) Do you plan to adopt D&D5.5One2024Redux?

Late to the vote, but NO. In fact, I'm going backwards by returning to 1st and 2nd edition AD&D.

    Dragon Reflections #68

I need to go find this issue somewhere. Trithereon played a major role in a 10-year campaign we wrapped up a couple of years ago. Great time with some great players.

    TSR NuTSR Declares Bankruptcy

"The document also states the gross revenue for TSR LLC so far for the year 2023 was $621.93." This made me laugh out loud this morning...for a long time :D

After this issue I was eager to play a cleric of Heironeous. Love that deity.

@gorice Like others, I've been feeling pretty burned out this week, but I managed to push through. The simple act of writing something is really valuable. Most of the week has been empty rooms, but some interesting stuff emerged from my listless typing. This is me. And I am over two weeks...

    D&D General #Dungeon23

"I've been behind my times" these past couple of weeks, but now that I'm retired, I can devote more time to this wonderful project. Here is what I came up last week with the alternate schedule of three rooms plus items, inhabitants/monsters/npcs, groups and hooks per week. Delving deeper...

    D&D 2E On AD&D 2E

If you want to learn 2e, there are several play-by-post (pbp) forums where 2e games are being run. I'm running a 2e Greyhawk game right now! Loads of fun.

    D&D 2E On AD&D 2E

"10" Like 2e, I absolutely love it. It's easy to calculate (up or down).

Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder vs. 3.5 - Help Me Decide

Was able to get the Core Rules Book used for $20 and bought the Beginner Box yesterday at Books-A-Million. I appreciate the advice. Still not sure exactly what I am going to do, but I will have a few months to read up on things and make a decision starting in February...because I'm retiring :)

Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder vs. 3.5 - Help Me Decide

Hey folks > I am in the process of shutting down a 5E game, and I am torn about where to go from there. I currently run a 2E game and recently completed a 1E game which ran for 10 years. I've played and DM'd both 3.5 and Pathfinder in the past...but it's been several years. So...my dilemma >...
