If you play another ttrpg.....I'd read it and run it in that game too. Pretty good stuff in there.

Looking at the discord server, definitely still doing 5e stuff for sure. Though I'm guessing there are dedicated people for DS. But, the 5e portion of the server is quite active.

They tried, they realized that was going to take forever (and the tool they partnered with has a good backend design).

The VTT existed before MCDM existed. They partnered with another company, that supports other systems (no idea how much they've done for other systems since the partnership). They are 100% building a very specific version for DS, within that framework.

I have tested the VTT in its dnd form....and it is pretty good. If it handles some of the complexities of DS, it will be very good.

Ya, just read the preview of the encounters book, and it is going to be really, really, good. Including encounters, negotiations and montages is such a great idea. Truly.

I'd say 90% of the rules, there are definitely some spots where we had no idea what to do......but, ya, it is actually a really good adventure and good intro.

If I was running this system, I'd want that encounter book so badly. Everything else is gravy.

Making them elementals is an interesting idea. It might explain why they don't just go conquer everything, they can't stray far from their region. It also means as they grow in power, they make the connection between the other planes and the world closer.

The ability to select tokens on teh map and add them to initiative (I don't think that is there now?). Randomizing adjectives to monster of the same type (heck, randomize HP).

I just want search to only show me the books I own....that would be a nice update. I wonder what they are planning to make DMing easier? I'd like notes/campaign mgmt tools of some kind, I think. Esp if my players can update them / read them...... Random NPC names would be good....

Oh ... We'll be there for a month. I'm guessing four or five days in an Edinburgh base. Four in skye. Four in Inverness. We will golf in machirinish area for two days. Near Aberdeen, though likely a smaller town three or four days.
