Paizo Announces New Irrevocable Open RPG License To Replace the OGL

And I'm glad that sites like d20srd.org reprinted the entirety of the 3.5 SRD along with OGC from Unearthed Arcana, re-organizing the content with hyperlinks, which is a real time-saver.

Of course Eric's facial expression would be like that given that horrendous hair! :ROFLMAO: And seriously the box art lighting makes it look like he wears braces.

D&D 5E D&D Cartoon Character Miniatures Are Coming!

I can head canon this as them returning to the Realm after growing older on Earth. And Eric get that sword that Bobby picked up in "The Dragon's Graveyard". It was able to cleave through rock like a hot knife through butter!

D&D 5E D&D's official twitter feed is giving previews of art and contents from Monsters of the Multiverse

Ah I see, just getting back into the game after a long hiatus. So I just read elsewhere that it's actually a bit of a throwback to their 1e appearance, just making their heads similar to their draconic counterparts this time.

    D&D Older Editions

Exactly! Now that I'm reading Fizban's Treasury of Dragons there's material there, specifically for gem dragons, that I can adapt into the full 3.5 gem dragon update I made ages ago, as well as a hypothetical 3.5 Draconomicon II that focuses on the gem dragons and Monster Manual lesser dragons.

What happened to the gargoyle-inspired face? Those look like wilted blue dragon ear frills.

D&D General WizKids Emerald Dragon Miniature

Jessa Blackthorne did an unboxing of all three dragons last Nov. 18 on the WizKids Games YouTube channel. Maybe it's the lighting, but the emerald dragon didn't give off a vitreous or glassy luster like I'd hope. Of course it's plastic but I don't want it that obvious.

Fizban's Treasury of Dragons Review Round-Up – What the Critics Say

Now that I finally got my copy last weekend… Yes, "great wyrms" as in the 12th age category have the most complete set of spell-like or supernatural abilities plus highest spellcasting level and damage. Now for 5e greatwyrms I compare them thematically to the dragon ascendant prestige class in...

Fizban's Treasury of Dragons: An In-Depth Review

I remember that too, and it's neat how each base metal dragon becomes a specific chromatic dragon based on its color when it is corrupted, ie. iron dragons rusted so they turned into red dragons.

D&D General why brass and bronze dragons?

Yes I read that. I was referring to a popular belief that since B can't be used for Black since it is used for Blue in RGB, K is used for Black in CMYK because it is the last letter of blacK.

D&D General why brass and bronze dragons?

I know, but RGB and CMYK are often mentioned in the same sentence. It's not the official reason for K rather than B, but it's used anyway.

D&D General why brass and bronze dragons?

B is already use for Blue. As for the bronze and brass dragons? My take: they are known for centuries, so it's easy to fit them in a fantasy setting that has a similar metallurgy history. Also, while a somewhat weaker case than for chromatic dragons, the five metallic dragons are also...

Fizban's Treasury of Dragons: An In-Depth Review

Yup, and while they are alloys, they are alloys of metals. Steel is traditionally an alloy of iron and carbon, a nonmetal. So it makes sense that the steel dragon feels different from the 100% metallic dragons. Also both bronze and brass are alloys of copper, one of the three gold group of...

Fizban's Treasury of Dragons: An In-Depth Review

Of course we can base a gem dragon from an organic gemstone. Just that including them among the five main gem dragon species leaves them the odd man out. I homebrewed the converted 3.5e amber and pearl dragons as a sister branch to those five gem dragons. They're not psionic out of the egg, but...

Fizban's Treasury of Dragons: An In-Depth Review

As anyone might guess, I go crazy over gem dragons so: Collins may have gone for "crystal" because it is actually an archaic name for quartz (from the Greek "krystallos" to refer to completely clear quartz that was assumed to be permanently frozen ice), but the latter just doesn't give off that...

Fizban's Treasury of Dragons: An In-Depth Review

On Mystara they are. But for whatever reason, the original author of the Dragon #37 gem dragons article, Arthur W. Collins, chose ruby for the gem dragon deity. Ideally Sardior should be a diamond dragon, with ruby, emerald, sapphire, amethyst and topaz as the five gem dragon species. If we're...
