    D&D 5E About monsters...

Just wondering about monsters. Is there enough information in the Starter Set (or the Basic PDF) to reverse engineer the monsters and see how they are created (or converted from others editions)? [Edit: I'm not seeing anything about monsters in the Basic PDF.]

Where to post conversion of old material to D&D 5e?

I've seen a few conversions already (thanks folks). Is this forum the appropriate place to post them? If not, where should they be posted? Thanks.

Does anyone know when the basic rules will be available to download? Will it be the 3rd or the 15th? Thanks.

    Does anyone use the flip-mats?

I'm thinking about adding a subscription to these maps, but thought I would see what others think about them first. If you have used or are using the flip-mats, please let me know your opinion. Thanks.

Remember when Dungeon Magazine was all about adventures?

I do. I hope while re-thinking D&D, they also re-think the magazines. I'd like to see them return to print, but that might not be feasible. But I do want Dungeons magazine to return to its roots. In the future, we need more focus on adventures. What do you think/hope for?

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder and D20 Pro VTT

First, I'm not sure what forum to use for this question...figured I go with Pathfinder since it deals with Pathfinder. I hear that Paizo recommends D20 Pro. I tried Maptool, but I'm really liking D20 Pro better (easier for me). Which brings me to the question: How do I get monsters from the...

Pathfinder 1E PC power in Pathfinder

I'm just trying to get a handle on this. Please forgive me if this has been discussed before. Just three quick questions: In relation to 3.5-- Using just the Pathfinder Core Rulebook classes, are the PCs more powerful than their 3.5 counterparts? Then, moving up to the Advanced Player's...

    Pathfinder 1E Newbie Pathfinder question

So I'm ready to take the plunge into Pathfinder; however, one thing has me puzzled. Do the early Pathfinder Adventure Paths use different rules from the more recent ones? It appears Rise of the Ruin Lords uses D&D 3.5 rules and the newer ones use the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game rules. Is...

D&D 5E What big thing is supposed to be next week?

The news on the front page includes...to tide us all over until next week. Do not miss next week. Really. Don't. This is a second time I've read what appeared to be a big hint of something big is coming from WotC (last time it said in a few weeks). I can't recall where I read the first hint...

Are the Class Compendium articles still in beta?

I haven't seen or heard anything for a while about the Class Compendium articles (PHB1 classes redone to be more in line with Essentials). I know they finished a few, but did they ever finish them all yet? If so, where can I find them? Thanks.

A simple thank you to a good group of people

I'll try to say this without getting too cheesy... Since a new year is upon us, I've been reflecting on the this past year. ENWorld has been and remains one of my favorite websites to visit, even though I don't post as often as I would like. There's something about reading and sharing...

    Is Silverlight dead?

Here, a question for the folks in the know... I believe one of the tools used for DDI development is Microsoft's Silver light. I'm just a programming hobbyist, not a Pro. I've read that Window 8 is providing three stacks for developers, including HTML5-CSS-Javascript as a bit of a surprise...

One DM, one PC, and four Henchmen

I know D&D is best played with a group. But what about those times when you are bored and have an opportunity to play with just one other person. Let's say I'm in the hospital and a visitor has a few hours to burn. A quick game of D&D would be perfect. Most published adventures assume a...

Which class compendium classes are finished?

I've lost track. By finished, I mean published in the DDI and not still in playtesting. I know the Marshal and Great Weapon Fighter are done. I'm also aware that there was a poor reaction to the Cleric, so playtesting was started. Does anyone know the current status of each of the Class...

Confusion over Class Compendium, Essentials, and Splat Books

I'm confused about the D&D landscape now days, but hopefully someone has a better handle on what is going on. Lately, WotC has been releasing these Class Compendium articles that take a class from the 4e PHB and updates it. But what is the purpose of these updates? Are they to simply add...

Wow...exciting new product for Oct 2011

Heroes of the Corn! Product Description For heroes who bask in corn fields and like to kill evil little kids. The demi-plane of Corn is a grim place through which unruly kids and spooky scarecrows leave the corn fields for... wherever. In most corn fields, evil things live there, suffused with...

The Class Compendium articles are great!

I'm not sure about others, but I'm really enjoying the Class Compendium stuff. I suppose the big thing for me is that I don't enjoy going back to apply errata. The updated classes are errata'ed, packaged, and ready to go. This is a great value for me. I don't really care if the Mage can...

    Anything new regarding D&D ebooks?

Hi folks, I've been away for a while. I recall that shortly after certain 2011 books were cancelled, somebody at WotC wrote in a FAQ that we should be hearing something about eBooks soon. Anyway, that's the best of my recollection. I've scanned recent pages in the forums and see nigh mention...
