I have an old, lead figure of a halfling with a dagger in one hand and a shield in the other. I cut the shield off and remaining part looks a bit like a lockpick or something. He has been painted a few times and used for many PCs over the years.

Divorcing it from my favorite characters, I'd have to go with the Ral Partha three-stage progression minis and the Mirliton Demogorgon mini (painted by me here). It's weird and eldritch and weighty, perfectly evoking the demon lord.

...the Mirliton Demogorgon mini...
Well, these days, yes, but like most of their stuff it started out at Grenadier. Lot of really nice monster sculpts from them that still hold up well today. I'm partial to this old swamp critter myself.

The now-defunct Pacesetter had a nice resin Demogorgon sculpt too.

But my favorite mini would be some kitbashed custom critter, maybe one of these.

Since we're on the topic of Demogorgon, I have the Reaper one. They went extra...anatomical with it. As I discovered when I was painting underneath the furry midsection and found myself gently dry brushing his testicles.
I'm morbidly curious, does he have two or four of them?

Reaper seems to like surprising people with unexpected testicles, their foo dog sculpt is carefully photographed so you can't see the quite prominent set he's sporting as well.

I think I'd rather have the old "demonic lasher" metal sculpt myself, even if it is the same price for a much smaller mini. Gene van Horne's work pales next to Bob Olley's IMO.

Danny, are you capable of producing a favorite list of anything? ;)
Yes, if the category is EXTREMELY narrow!😁

In this case, I’ve got minis dating back to 1977, from goodness knows how many companies in so many different materials and genres…

If you asked me about my favorite elf or Minotaur or mecha minis, I might be able to formulate some kind of insightful response. Until then?

Two. Demogorgon has disappointingly mundane junk.

My favourite example of Reaper getting biological is on their river troll miniature from KS5. When I was first painting it, I thought, "My goodness, this troll has a spectacularly large anus." Then I realized it was a cloaca. Which makes sense, because there is a separate miniature that is a troll nest full of eggs and a hatchling. That's attention to detail!
