This. I can always find art on line if I don't love the new look.....give me interesting solos, WotC.....I just hope the stat blocks are good, man. I want interesting dragons. Not just carpet-bombers. An adult dragon should feel like a Souls boss!
I'm not a big user of dragons in my game, but I really like designs of both the green and the blue dragons. We actually did get pictures of the updated designs for the other Chromatics.
Let me post them again.
The Cover Art for the PHB shows the new look for the Gold Dragon
Reminds me of the Spinosaurus tail discovery from a few years back.Aren't they the metallic swimmers? I think they're semi-aquatic.
But you still need to represent it on the map somehow.Irrelevant, really. The dragon is the terrain at that point.
How does that help with the inability to reach the vital organs as the creature’s hide is as thick as your sharp magic stick is long? You don't kill it with swords -- you kill it with magic swords, and lances, and axes, and spells.
Which is what the blue dragon’s habitat should be.Only design I don't really care for is the new blue dragon... It doesn't say "desert dweller" to me in the way that the 3e-era design did, with the mixed blue and yellow/tan/gold color scheme.
Looks more like a "storm" dragon design, perhaps even ocean-dwelling, like the bronze.
