Raelyn smiles again. "Djaar, with your strong ambition, I'm sure you will find whatever it is you seek, eventually. But if I can help you find a blade to channel your arcane power, I shall."

History: DC 11 (heard by all)
Humans call the area Keoland. It is a peaceful, soft land, with elves living in the Hornwood forest to the north. Dwarves are way too common in the area, especially in the hills and lower mountains. The High Crystal Mist mountain Range is to the west.

“Between four and a score guard each caravan. But sometimes fewer guards means tougher. The ones with the dwarves are always dangerous.” Laughter comes from the stairs at the end of the hall.

The stairs lead to a guard room with six elderly goblin warriors having soup. When the new situation is explained one of the elderly goblins bows deeply.
He follows you to the barracks, another 50x50 room. This room is a haphazard mess of sleeping goblins, goblins eating, children and elderly. In the NE corner a dragon statue acts as part of a fountain, continually pouring clean water into the rather foul basin. A goblin is collecting the water in a clay pot, but stops when you come in.

“These Drow are our new masters. The Old Chief is dead. Got it? Good.”
The goblins stare fearfully at you, some of the more cowardly ones try and hide behind each other.
Disdhaun – you notice about 8 more goblins that look fit enough for battle.

Vorgyrm looks into the soup pot and gags in response. It had rats in it, some were still twitching. "We should set up sentries, perhaps some to watch for approaching caravans."

Smiling, considering Raelyn's exact words, Djaar gives a small bow to Nashquiri and Raelyn both.

That is acceptable Raelyn, I'll hold you to it. Now if you will both excuse me, I'd like to settle my new room. I'll be in the meeting room in one moment.

Before the other two exit, Djaar begins stripping the sheets from the bed. Moving from space to space tidying, and removing any goblin filth. Once Raelyn and Nashquiri have gone, Djaar checks the two doors of his room, making sure the locks and hinges are in good condition.

Djaar sits on the bare bed after the room is to his liking, and takes five minutes to decide where to go from here.

He begins thinking, "I won't be going on another suicide mission, because I'm expendable. I'm no longer expendable, I matter. I can become great, no, I will become great. This is where I will start. The rest of the patrol I'm stuck with seems competent. I'm even starting to like the Raelyn fellow. Nashquiri though, has never looked at me the same since the warlock died next to me... That will change with time. The goblin tribe here will be a great start, I'll improve them, and they will willingly submit to our leadership. They must fear us as well. Balance..."

Djaar stands, heading down the secret corridor first, making sure it is clear of rubble or debris. Checking the door at the end, leaving it closed and unlocked. Exiting his room through the non-secret door, in order to make sure every access to his room was left open.

The newly confident drow cautiously walks into the meeting room. Hiding in the shadows and waiting for his Patrol.

[sblock=OOC]My personal comp needs a new recharge cord. I'll pick it up monday, and hopefully have Djaar fully updated with backstory before tuesday.

Javilex walks around the goblin hovel with little to no enthusiasm. The others of their group seem to be converting this place into their new home (however temporary), but the thought of actually staying here does nothing for Javilex's mood. "Are we really just deciding to stay here? We've been on the move for the past two days, yes... but that doesn't mean we should just commandeer the first rickety bed we come across. Shouldn't we be trying to get back to our city? Wouldn't that be a bit more worth our time?"

He scowls at a goblin that passes by him, who skitters off with a yelp. Javilex shakes his head and then reaches over to scratch the dense fur on his spider's head.

Do the goblins treet the elder goblin with any sort of reverance and respect?[/sblock]

Drisdhaun looks around at the goblin tribe, thinking not all that much to work with, but we have a base to work from which is a start. Turning to Vorgrym he motions in the hand language "Lets find the others and gather in the main chamber, we need to discuss a plan going forward."

Drisdhaun then turns to the guide and the shaman (if they are present) "Report to us in an hour and we can discuss the next raid" He then leaves to gather the patrol." With that he moves back towards the main chamber (the one we fought the Chief in)

[sblock=OOC]
Drisdhaun is currently torn between using the goblin camp as a base to grow some influence in the area or moving on to see if the patrol can find a way back home.[/sblock]

Vorgyrm goes to meet with the group. Once all has gathered he speaks, "What is we stayed here for a while, got rich on passing caravans, and took some slaves to bring back with us? I think we might be listened to a little more then. More respect for our abilities."

The meeting room you are gathered in has a once nice table that has been stained and scared. There is a statue of a dragon in the corner, with a small jet of flame coming from its mouth. There are a few goblins waiting in the hallway outside.

Djaar watches as the others enter, noting the varied range of expression on faces.

Steeling himself for a heated debate, he makes sure his daggers are all reachable.

Back to the wall, smiling, the drow waits for the last of the group.

[sblock=OOC]
Djaar doesn't have much to go back to in the city, he will want to take advantage of anything handed to him.

has anyone made a streetwise check on the little goblins?

Drisdhaun waits for all to arrive, and motions that we shoulde keep any discussion in the hand signs to prvent inquisitive goblins from overhearing.

Looking at the rest of the patrol he signs "There are two obvious routes forward here, the first is to leave these goblins to thier own devices and return to the city, or second to consolidate and build a power base from here. My main concern is we do not know what is happening between the houses, we will be returning into an unknown situation. What I propose is we ust this goblin warren as an initial base and gain some influence in the area, while trying to find out the current situation back home. Hopefully we will be able to use our power base here and gain some power by influencing events between the houses to our advantage. Any thoughts?"
