Logrim nods at Aric and Lumrolur. He makes a hand gesture to Ludo and the construct moves near the front to help block the stairs upto the group. The gnome then slips his wrench into a loop on his belt and pulls a crossbow from his back and loads a bolt. Logrim nods to the others then talks...
Logrim looks at the fire trap with interest.
"That's my uncles handy work. He must have trapped this entire area. That could explain the scorch marks on the zombies. We're lucky the fuel was depleted for this one."
Logrim nods in agreement to Alma's statement.
"Tread carefully. My uncle...
I don't think any of us have persuasion. Eoghan was our diplomat and with him gone we are kinda in trouble with any form of negotiations. We are just going to have to do the best we can. With my -1 in charisma Quinn is not the one to lead anything.
Quinn watches the giant fly away and nods at Valda's comment.
"Let's hope we can convince them to leave. We have enough problems with the hill giants. It would be bad if we upset the cloud giants and cause them to join the fight."
Ludo's head swivels to the left seconds before the secret door opens and the derro zombies shamble out. The construct moves to place itself between Logrim's companions and the threat.
This is the entry for the Steel defender. Ludo is also Vigilant so it can't be surprised.
Creator: The steel...
Logrim motions for Ludo to take up a defensive position next to him and raises his wrench. The gnome flips a small switch on the mace and it begins to crackle with some type of magical energy. He nods to the others in the room.
"Ready when you are to open the door."
Logrim admires his uncles handy work. As he watches the two dwarves remove the battering ram from the doors. Once it is clear Logrim walks over and pulls out his tinkers tools. He looks to everyone.
"I'll have these doors open in a jiff. Get ready for whatever is inside."
With that he...
Quinn shrugs at Bible's suggestion.
"That suggestion is as good as any. If the cloud giants are helping they will need to be confronted eventually. It would probably be best to try and get the cloud giants to leave before we confront Chief Nosnra."
When Jack suggests flying Quinn speaks up...
Doing well now. I was only sick for most of Monday. Was feeling better by Tuesday but then I had a ton of work to catch up on. It has just been a long week.
I like the idea about the illusion magic. I'll make sure to sprinkle that into a post if/when we decide to open the temple.
