Fishing for a page count, I guess? Overview of traits in the QS is about a page, page and a half? Traits rules cover more than 6 pages in the core book, providing full details on creating and using traits. Hope that helps.

Traits are traits. They represent something specific in a location, about a character, about a situation, or about a piece of equipment. So in that respect they're defined--they are a truth about a thing. How that trait impacts gameplay will depend on the context it's created, modified, or used...

Like I said, for the purposes of the quickstart it wasn't necessary to go into full detail on every game element. The QS is intended to give players a good taste of the game. The full ruleset is in the core book.

It does. Instead of points, you either have Momentum or you don't. You have Threat or you don't. You can still spend them to impact the narrative, just not at the level you would in STA with multiple points.

Actual play part 2: Starship generation and final details before the jump into the first adventure.

It does not. For Captain's Log, you'll just need 2d20 (or 3d20 since some of the tables are 3d20). Task resolution is all 2d20. No d6s or other dice needed.

First actual play is live. Character generation via the full lifepath option. I went pretty much full random on this one, letting the dice and matrixes in the book reveal who my character is. Looking forward to creating some stories with them soon!

The PDF by itself will be available for purchase in early August, once the print editions start shipping.
