Innsmouth added as new Ravenloft Domain of Dread, bringing Lovecraft to D&D

Cthulhu is in the book, one of the other previews had his statblock, the presumably here is whether he is the Darklord for the domain or not.

What are you reading in 2026?

Finished rereading Azure Bonds. Held up well, tighter focus than Counselors and Kings and easier to keep interested, and all the characters were good to read about, likeable or not. Though I initially got confused around Westgates location to begin with :) Will look to read rest of trilogy...

    AI/LLMs Plagiarism vs. Inspiration

But the question that arises is, if they are profitable as stand alone models, how long for? Unlike the hamburger stand, if other companies are investing into the next generation, the current generation will quickly become obsolete and no longer profitable. So rather than saying LLM 3.0 is...

What are you reading in 2026?

Finished rereading Elaine Cunninghams Counsellors and Mings trilogy. I enjoyed the books, and nice to be back in the Realms, but found the pacing a bit off at times, making it a slow read. I think mainly due to number of POVs and interweaving plot threads, im more used these days to books...

AI/LLMs AI art bans are going to ruin small 3rd party creators

When I went down rabbit hole looking into copyright laws, and some tangent about a battle potentially fought over who owned a document as such, there was suggestion that prior to Statute of Anne there was a common law copyright that was perpetual, but the Statute and other similar copyright law...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Not quite sure why I get invested in going into the detail/ workings of TV shows / books that I plan to never watch / read.

Trailer Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Season 1) trailer

I think i read somewhere that they aren't going to do annual series, but could be spaced out like others. But if they can film the series annually at least would prevent issues around aging etc.

AI/LLMs AI art bans are going to ruin small 3rd party creators

I think there are two competing moral imperatives myself- the moral imperative for knowledge etc to be shared to the wider public, and the moral imperative for a creator to be compensated for their work. With the nature of our economic set up, giving them a monopoly period to be able to control...

Friday Fun: Your Formative Geek Media

Due to how young I was when encountered star wars and Black Hole, for a long time I thought the Black Hole was some sort of adventure with R2D2 and C3PO, I probably only in last decade when wanting to find it again realized completely different stories :)

Trailer Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Season 1) trailer

I believe from memory that electronic devices dont work in Hogwarts, due to the ambient magical levels. Steam trains still work though, so some level of gun in theory would work, but like you say less prevalent in UK.
