Thanks for the overview/review of the game! Maybe a new category/tag could be created for "children" or "young gamers" so it would be easy to find all the related content quickly.
The problem with using D&D IP in movies is that the rulesets obviously don't translate and settings are more about building a sandbox than about a particular story. Since movies are all about stories and charaters, there's just not a whole lot "there".
The most recognizable character in the...
Wow...it's been so long since I'd heard Gamespace mentioned that I'd forgotten it was ever a thing. I guess I don't feel too bad about missing out on the closed beta now.
If you subscribe to Microsoft Office 365, you get 1TB of Onedrive storage included with the subscription (and if you share the subscription with more than one Microsoft account, they each get their own 1TB of OneDrive storage). That's a very, very good deal IMO.
I have to agree. I really feel deceived about the game. They claimed the Baldur's Gate lineage, but have no lived up to it at all. They said that the game would be similar to pen & paper D&D, but it isn't similar to it at all beyond the surface. I'm not happy with the game at all. I was one...
The temptation to pirate material is definitely there, but I have more than enough opportunity to purchase other systems which keep me busy. At this point in my life, I have a extra money but not much time. I don't use much of the RPG-related stuff I purchase. For example, I have every single...
I don't purchase physical books of any sort anymore, with very rare exceptions (basically, work-related books that I may want to share with a colleague or client). I don't have a lot of extra space, and I'm not going to clutter my living area which I take a lot of pride in with unnecessary and...
That's fair, though the basic PDFs are just that and don't contain all of the content of the core books. I don't particularly like being treated like a second-class citizen because I want PDFs.
I have stopped purchasing physical copies of RPG products for the simple reason that they take up too much space. I either get it as a PDF or don't get it at all. Unfortunately, in the case of D&D 5E, that means I don't get it at all. The game sounds wonderful, but I will never see it or play...
Today's patch notes are here: https://forums.swordcoast.com/index.php?/topic/7236-patch-notes-1022/
o Enabled a fix to DMs not being able to loot in doorways
o Talking to a vendor will not drag in other players in multiplayer any longer unless the vendor is involved in an active quest or...
I know that's part of the purpose, but you would think they'd have a $1 level which allows you to see the tech demo or something (since that doesn't really cost them anything). Additionally, they can use things like subscribers to their Twitter feed, Facebook page, and newsletter to show...
This is also what bothers me about the Kickstarter. $50k is nothing when it comes to a project like this. It's especially strange because $50k isn't even going to go to them (assuming they funded at exactly $50k) due to fees and taxes. That's the kind of cash that these people should have on...
"Provolone" certainly doesn't sound like a real name to me, so my bets would also be on this and possibly the "3.5" books being part of the D&D Next release.
I'm not jumping to any conclusions. A disagreement with the company could be anything. Maybe the coffee in the break room was so repulsive to him that he was forced to quit. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with 5E other than that he won't be helping to develop it going forward.
Actually, Shattered Star will treat the events of Rise of the Runelords, Second Darkness, and Curse of the Crimson Throne (or one of the other ones) as historic events so in theory it would add something to that AP if you've played the other three previously.
You could got with Rise of the...
