I absolutely agree. Covid cost that movie some of its budget as well (they had a shut down and re-start). But if they'd made that a $100M movie I bet it sells just as many tickets. Did we need Michelle Rodriguez and Hugh Grant, or could they have just done Chris Pine for name recognition...

As an adult with a family and a job that takes a lot of hours, I can't see all that many shows in a year. There are well more than enough well written shows that are not animated. I enjoy good acting.

We're the same. But there is no reason to go animated. Cutting the budget and doing more with less should be the path forward. They're just not getting a lot for the last $100M on these blockbusters.

I am so impressed on page 53 we're still talking about gnomes. I figured the topic had to be something obscure or dominated by a massive back and forth fight by now. I've never in all these years played a gnome for more than a couple of sessions, but I like them and would happily play them.
