I finally finished all the HeroQuest minis I own. I don’t have Against the Ogre Horde or the two from the mythic version, and I don’t have the monk. But still- it’s a LOT of painting! The album has like 45 pics. But here’s the number of figures I painted in one photo...

I saw the news about the next HeroQuest expansion and got motivated to paint my assassin figures, so that’s good!

Then I offer you my sympathy! I hope things turn around soon. I really struggled at work through pandemic. It was super stressful knowing things weren’t going well. Wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

I skipped out on rpgs for a long time at the end of 2e, so I don’t know much about what things were like with the OGL and 3rd parties. I checked out the preview pdf to read about the quasta. Man, talk about evoking sympathy and sadness and loss! These curious creatures who just want to learn...

Found this cool dungeon on itch.io called Barrow of the Elf King and was able to re-create it with dungeons and lasers.

That’s how I feel too. I don’t really like their player character minis or their bugbears. But their other monsters are cool. I like their kraken (the unpainted one) and many of their demons / devils. And their modrons too!

Working on the warriors in blue currently. Just wanted to see what they’d look like fighting in n the wilderness.

I haven't played yet, but I've watched some pretty fun actual plays on Jorphdan's Jocular Junction, on YouTube. And that's coming from someone who doesn't watch any actual plays, almost every. They did a four part Doom of the Savage Kings that was pretty fantastic.
