Okay pretty much they have the same base in Fantasy Europe 'kitchen sink' with focus on a central city (Absalom) and ahistoric anachronism. Then you get obvious allusions/copies - ie crashed space ship

If you think of Greyhawk as the Dark Ages, Mystara as Medievalish, FR as Renaisance and Eberron as Pre-Modern era then the analogy kinda fits

Start expanding the dark forces out of the Moathouse - if the PCs have friends in Hommlett then have the bugbears attack and overrun Homlett, abduct those 'friends of the PCs'' and imprison them under the moathouse - the survivors of Homlett seek the PCs help

I dislike the addition of these races because it takes away their specialness, it becomes just another human with a forehead prosthetic. Afterall a PC Spawn of Asmodeus is kinda cool, but Tieflings become decidedly less cool when John the janitor is one, and theres a whole family of them living...

BIFTs should have been used like Aspects to define how a characters ideals and bonds might affect the world, then it could have been linked to inspiration as a means to gain advantage when invoking things that character cares about

This confuses me The Punishers relentless violence is certainly extraordinary and both Frank and Lobo can be modelled by the same classes. The difference is that Lobo isnt human, he's an alien with super strength, durability and regeneration - those are natural traits of his Ancestry/race.

And of course most other people will accept that when the introduction blurbs in the book refer to “heroic characters who explore fantasy worlds together” it means that the characters are “Heroic, Fantasy humans” not mundane earth humans
