Most sages and philosophers are Generation X and they're hella hard to find because they're hiding from Boomers, Millennials, and Generation Z.

Arkham: Review Call of Cthulhu Sourcebook

I thought there was something goofy about the cover of Miskatonic U and now that you brought that up it suddenly makes some sense. I skipped it initially because I saw the cover in a thumbnail image and thought the 1920s was actually the 1990s. That cover does not scream Roaring '20s to me.

D&D General What is the Quintissential D&D Mascot Monster?

Since it's D&D, I'm going to have to agree with you. The game isn't Dungeons & Beholders.

Are you some kind of Monk? Don't be sorry. Beholders can celebrate Christmas too.

D&D General The Problem With Paladin's Medieval Origins (+)

Switching suddenly from GoT to Thundarr the Barbarian isn't recommended due to the extreme risk of tonal whiplash. I do accept that alignment is no longer a meaningful part of D&D and hasn't been for 14 years now.

D&D General The Problem With Paladin's Medieval Origins (+)

That's the fun part of role playing games. We get to imagine worlds that can't really exist. I love Call of Cthulhu, but me personally, I simply cannot buy the idea that gaining greater knowledge of how the universe actually is will cause insanity. It's still fun to play a game with those...

D&D General Why Do People Hate Gnomes?

Familiarity breeds contempt. It's tough for anything to seem magical when they've been a regular part of the game for the last 50 years. We see similar problems with the various beings in Call of Cthulhu. Oooh, deep ones? I'm so scared.

D&D General What is the Quintissential D&D Mascot Monster?

The rust monster is worse because it might eat all your magic weapons and armor. A fate worse than death according to many players.

D&D General Why Do People Hate Gnomes?

What makes one more elfy or more gnomey than the other? Maybe I need @Whizbang Dustyboots to answer that question as our resident gnome expert.

How would you classify the Keebler Elves?

D&D 5E Which classes have the least identity?

Historically speaking, a necromancer didn't raise the dead. They communicated with the dead, or with spirits, or even with demons but they didn't bring life to the dead. It's wholly appropriate for them to be Wizards instead of Clerics.

I'm going to cop to that. That was monumentally silly of me.
