While most people don't miss their cable bill, I think a lot of people miss actual cable. Browsing Netflix queues isn't the same as surfing channels. Streaming is great when you want to watch something specific.. But I know I'm not the only person who has sat down wanting to watching something...

Unironically.. Don't sleep on Pluto TV.. If you ever miss the mindless background noise of cable on TV.. It's perfect.

You know.. One angle that hasn't been touched on.. What about a high pressure business drama period piece? INT. Gygax house, Lake Geneva, 1970's. Camera floats down the steps into a smoky basement where a couple of guys are hastily taping together white boxes, saddlestapling booklets, etc...

20 minutes of trailers would be fine.. The fact that there's not an additional 20 minutes of non-trailer ads included in the pre-show is what's really frustrating.

Yeah, but they're no longer front and center. Now I have to remember to go check Youtube weekly or something to see if anything is coming out. It sounds silly, but honestly I probably should set a reminder to do just that. The way it is now, I either get the desire to want to go to the movies...

I'm glad this thread got brought back up to make the rounds.. I've been playing EverQuest again on the Project Quarm server.. Something I've realized is that EQ stole a lot from D&D. This is one of those things. Druids in EverQuest can wield Scimitars, but not short swords, or long swords.. Or...

I still really love the cinema experience. I always get a giddy feeling when I sit down in those plush theater chairs with my gallon of Cherry Coke and my bag of sour gummy worms. I love feeling the rumbling bass in my chest. That moment where the lights go down and and a hush (hopefully) goes...

The timing was pretty awful. Imagine if it had come out after the holidays following BG3. Granted, there's no way they knew BG3 was going to be so crazy at the time.. But just imagine..

The box office thing makes me so sad, but I think we're really looking at cinema rolling it's death saving throws right now. I wonder if D&D:HAT would have been a hit had it dropped half a decade ago. Great reviews, lack luster performance. Now we're seeing the same thing with the new Mad Max...
