D&D Movie/TV Paramount+ Will Not Proceed with Dungeons & Dragons Live-Action TV Show

What I never understood was movie prices in Los Angeles were super high? I can literally see where the movie was made from the top of the parking lot? Shouldnt they be cheaper than Connecticut? When I am in Idaho pottatoes don't cost more.

D&D Movie/TV Paramount+ Will Not Proceed with Dungeons & Dragons Live-Action TV Show

Furiosas is 100% worth seeing. My whole post was hopefully to get people out and hopefully generate a little more cash for it to support quality cinema. That's said I would say it's the third best Mad Max movie as Road Warrior is also a master piece. On my original point that studios hate...

PaizoCon 2024 Announcements and Product Reveals

I'm interested, especially if it uses a more basic version of the Pathfinder rules (Which I only own in beginners box form). Bonus points if they somehow include -simplified charachter creation choices or at least advancement trees. -rules to make your own scenarios and publish them...

D&D Movie/TV Paramount+ Will Not Proceed with Dungeons & Dragons Live-Action TV Show

Related but unrelated the Furiosa movie is tanking. I saw it. Definitely worth seeing not as good as Fury Road but that's a very high bar. Furiosa is better than anything else I have seen since probably Andor, but quality doesn't equal $$$. Studios hate risk and the D&D movie under performing...

A Preview of The Making of Original Dungeons & Dragons: 1970-1977

Really a "Sex" rating ? Sometimes it's better not to find out more about how the hobby started. But I can appreciate they are not filtering it for us.

RPG Print News – Chaosium, Hero Games, and More

Last week I ordered print copies of Big Rubble, Paris, and Griffin Mountain. So I hope I'm not disappointed. Ducks are popular enough I guess. But not my thing.

RPG Print News – Chaosium, Hero Games, and More

As a kid seeing this in the game store. I didn't know anything about rune quest, but this made sure I didn't bother to find out. Rune Quest might not beToon, but if this is how your exposed to it you wouldn't know.

D&D (2024) New Dungeon Master's Guide Cover Features Venger (From the D&D Cartoons)

I've been showing the cartoon to my 5 year old son every Saturday morning. He will dig the cover. It's not like DMGs ever have great covers and I like this one more than most.

RPG Print News – Chaosium, Hero Games, and More

Runequest has Daffy and Donald style duck people. Lady who surfs on a giant bat into combat is probably less of a deal breaker.

D&D 5E Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks Would Like To Explore Kara-Tur

"Guys let me tell you about my charachter, he is a cat person ninja with magic." Is that quote from a CEO of a major company or my 12 year old nephew? Do we think it's a home game or an official office game?

D&D 5E Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks Would Like To Explore Kara-Tur

I owned the OA 1e book, but not the Kara Tur box set. I honestly couldn't name one feature of Kara Tur. But if they want to serve up a small regional setting tied to a few sandbox adventure sites I would be down.

RPG Crowdfunding News – Delve, Scions of the Dark Goddess, Worlds at a Glance, and more

That's a great idea. You can use the age old some dude disappeared start, but now instead of searching his house for a diary and receipts, his friend let's you access his social media to read his increasingly deranged rants and get clues from the photos. Letting players do that in real time on...

Wizards Goes Big with Vecna: Eve of Ruin

It's a lot easier to take a sandbox and turn it into a railroad than turn a railroad into a sandbox. You can easily add a page of "how to make this linear" by adding a NPC Patron and a hook who directs the party on a path through the sandbox.

Wizards Goes Big with Vecna: Eve of Ruin

Lost Mines and Curse of Strahd are both classics because of the sandbox elements. If only they would lean into those type of adventures. Something Nights Dark Terror style would have been great for a 50 year release. Heck they name checked Nights Dark Terror when promoting Lost Minds at the...

Wizards Goes Big with Vecna: Eve of Ruin

Thanks for the review. I applaud wizards for releasing something that goes to level 20. Based on everything I have read it's a massive railroad, but that's to be expected from what they are trying to achiev with there whirlwind tour. I wonder how well encounters will stand up to actual play in...
