D&D (2024) How Does Greyhawk Fit In To The New Edition?

Yeah, no way they so much as bring it up here.

They said no FLGS covers, but could be the demand was enough to make them make it happen.

D&D (2024) How Does Greyhawk Fit In To The New Edition?

Sure, absolutely. Doesn't mean they won't present an attractive basic Setting that people won't like (I mean, doesn’t mean they will either, time will tell).

    D&D (2024) 75 Feats -- not nearly enough

No, I remember er Crawrofrd commenting on that, Level 8 Geats got a shellacking in responses and Feat chains of more than 2 were killed quite dead.

    D&D (2024) 75 Feats -- not nearly enough

Feats and Class/Subclass Features are basically the same thing.

It's always been hit or miss which I prefer, but usually both are good.

D&D (2024) Greyhawk Confirmed. Tell Me Why.

To bring this back to the thread title question...we have like 5 threads now chatting about Greyhawk because of a paragraph in a magazine, and I have seen like a dozen posters say they might buy the DMG now specifically because of Greyhawk. That, plus being perfectly useful for new players...

D&D (2024) Greyhawk Confirmed. Tell Me Why.

They have seen HAT, but that doesn't really impact much or remove the value for me of the FR as a playground. It's too big for that.

    D&D (2024) New D&D Edition's Player’s Handbook Cover Reveal

Not aimed at you specifically, it just amuses me when people complain about something resembling the MCU like that is an insult or bad idea or something.

    D&D (2024) New D&D Edition's Player’s Handbook Alternate Art Cover Reveal

It's decent, but I much prefer the painterly standard cover. If they wanted to trigger my collector crocodile brain, they should have made this a fresh take on the OG 1E PHB cover. Loving the drip feed of art, hope it stays strong till release.

    D&D (2024) 75 Feats -- not nearly enough

Your math sounds about right, but that seems more than ample IMO. Some of the Tasha's Feats are definitely not coming over (Artificer Initiate and Gunner, probavly, considering there is no Artificer and guns are juat standard issue equipment now). That provides a large number of options for...

And quite specifically, in the D&D Next period they went out of their way to create an art guide gor Halflings in order to be distinctly not Hobbits, and clearly neither Gnome not Human.

D&D (2024) How Does Greyhawk Fit In To The New Edition?

A lot of room for interpretation what that means in brass tacks. I think it would-be unlikely to have something equivalent to the 1980 Folio, but it could easily be less than that, in multiple tiers of potential detail. Perkins has said previously that the example Setting in the DMG will be...

Exactly so, so perfect for what they are doing with the DMG.

I don't expect we will see Dark Sun for a long, long time.

5E Halflongs and Gnomes look nothing alike, though? They can always be ide tidied easily on sight.

Way, way too muscular for any child of that height, yes. And even though my kids, no joke, are om the tippy top scale of head size (like 99%, Welsh genes), they don't have a head of that proportion.
