D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

Sure, but it can be very hard to ignore when the balance between they make stuff you like and they make stuff you don't really starts to shift mostly or entirely into the negative. Quite frankly, not everyone is as strong as you.

The AI Red Scare is only harming artists and needs to stop.

Not to everyone, and the jury's out on where AI stands on that issue (literally, kinda). Why else is everyone arguing?

The AI Red Scare is only harming artists and needs to stop.

Digital piracy is certainly theft from a legal point of view.

D&D (2024) Greyhawk Confirmed. Tell Me Why.

Some nod to creativity and not just profit would be nice.

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

Unfortunately, the story is actually really important.

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

It does leave the question unanswered though. If you feel that WotC isn't making good adventures, what can you point to as the reason? Not the people who made it, apparently. The publisher? Yourself?

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

I think the standards aren't too high for the prices they're charging.

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

I don't think that's true for all of us. Some of us like D&D and even 5e just fine without WotC.

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

More evidence that WotC simply does not care about experienced/veteran fans beyond throwing a few nostalgia bones at them to get their $$$ (more this time, obviously). It's all about getting new sources of sales through the door.

D&D 5E Advanced D&D or "what to minimally fix in 5E?"

Gamer culture has expanded. The old ways are still out there and viable, they've just been joined by other ways.

D&D General The Problem With Paladin's Medieval Origins (+)

But doesn't that mean that people are saying we should shy away from the Western culture holy knight, and the class should focus on everything except that version? Ignoring an archetype that is still quite visible in pop culture today and is the narrative core of the class throughout most of...

D&D (2024) Greyhawk Confirmed. Tell Me Why.

None of that sounds great for anything except WotC's pocketbook. Of course, that's clearly the important thing.

D&D (2024) Greyhawk Confirmed. Tell Me Why.

I expect you're correct in principle, but at this point I would be quite surprised if they mention Athas at all. I'm sure WotC would be very happy if everyone forgot Dark Sun exists.

Level Up (A5E) A Leveled-Up Bestiary: Volume Two

I still love this series. Sorry I haven't been posting more, but really you do amazing work. I was wondering if you intended to keep going with the 3e monsters in later issues of Dragon, or maybe branching out into the TSR stuff that hasn't been updated to 5e (let alone A5e), like much of the...

D&D (2024) How Does Greyhawk Fit In To The New Edition?

Yup. I really miss that priority, which came up a good bit in 2e as well.
