Different Types of Attorneys Will Be Bad in Completely Different Ways

As well as alignment knives, swords, maces, flails and so forth, a holdover from when we had to be prepared for trial by combat.

The same night I ordered the purse for Mom, I ordered these cufflinks for myself: https://www.etsy.com/listing/741699024/negroni-cocktail-cufflinks-fathers-day?click_key=a2b3ccc55e44c18ab5faed999bea0bda1e2a829d%3A741699024&click_sum=dc45800a&ref=shop_home_active_5&crt=1&sts=1...

    Are our tastes set?

I came in with AD&D in 1977-78 or so, but my D&D end-times edition would be 3.5Ed. Anything I actually missed from prior or subsequent editions I’d just homebrew a version of.

    D&D 1E Favorite Obscure Rules from TSR-era D&D

They definitely had abuse potential, but in practice, it really depended on who you were playing with. In one group, I was one of two players running PO clerics. The other player made a powerful unarmored arcane & divine caster who also used martial arts in melee. Mine had a better weapon...

    D&D 1E Favorite Obscure Rules from TSR-era D&D

I liked the PO rules. Lots of flexibility in character design.

The tests that are most repeatedly reproduced are most likely correct.

    Economic Board Games?

@GreyLord I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the train games after being introduced to them. I eventually bought Iron Dragon.

    D&D 1E Favorite Obscure Rules from TSR-era D&D

I solved that problem easily by almost never reading books based on games. The exceptions were things like the Wildcard anthologies- I bought & read them not knowing they’re based on the writers campaigns.

In other news… Mom has been culling her purse collection this year. She buys high-quality stuff, and cares for them, so it’s a downer seeing them go. But she has enough trouble with her hands that- even with Dad and me around to help wrangle them- she doesn’t feel comfortable using her bigger...

    D&D General Millennial D&D (+)

I’ve seen more than one comment online comparing RW 1%ers to dragons sleeping on their hoards. It’s a good enough fit for RPG campaign drafting, IMHO.

    Unusual Sandwiches

I definitely go vegetarian on occasion. My longest streak was 2-3 weeks.

    Unusual Sandwiches

Yes. They’re typically used as steak sauces. I typically use them as sauce enhancers/bases. Oddly, I don’t cook chicken that often. The most common uses for uncooked chicken in our house are for our dog (who is on a special diet), gumbo and BBQs, and Dad is the master of the BBQ. My usual...

D&D 3E/3.5 Brainstorming another Fey PC

The Spirit Shaman is looking strong, with the divine bard and ranger in the next best positions. Yes, the ranger is the weakest caster, but some of the abilities- like woodland stride- fit nicely with the (still nebulous) character idea.

    Unusual Sandwiches

Mom had some leftover takeout chicken tenders in the fridge, so I decided to make a lunch sammie out of a couple of them. I’ve been making a fry dipping sauce out of a 50/50 mix of A1 and yellow mustard with splashes of Tabasco and a dusting of ground black peppers since the late 1980s, and...

The Spirit Shaman and Shugenja could definitely work. Thanks!

D&D 3E/3.5 Brainstorming another Fey PC

I’m leaning towards taking the Geomancer PrCl, which requires 2nd level arcane & divine spellcasting. I’m a LOT more familiar with a broad array of arcane casting classes than divine. Keeping in mind that Willy has to be nonlawful, I know of these potential options: Cleric Druid Divine Bard...
